Close Radar: a daily bank-to-books tie-out that never automatically writes to your books
Bottom line: Close Radar checks your bank against your books every day, ranks what does not match, and writes nothing back to your books automatically. It is built and shipping behind a switch, not yet on in customer accounts.
What shipped
Close Radar runs a daily tie-out. On one side is the bank: the posted balance and transactions from your connected accounts. On the other is the cash-account balance in QuickBooks.
The difference becomes a ranked exception queue. You work the queue instead of hunting through two systems.
Nothing written back automatically
Close Radar never writes to your books automatically. There is no auto-fix.
If a correction is ever needed, it is proposed as an entry for a human to approve. That approval path stays switched off unless you turn it on.
We built it this way because a tool that quietly edits books is a tool nobody trusts.
False positives are the enemy
Only high-confidence duplicate bank lines are marked as errors. Everything else is labelled "to review", not "wrong".
When you dismiss or accept an item, that decision carries forward. Tomorrow's run does not ask you the same question again.
What it pairs with
- A forecast-accuracy lane, so you can see how last week's forecast compared with what cleared.
- An intercompany lane that surfaces transfers between your own entities.
- A proposed-entries lane of safe, non-mutating actions a person reviews. None of them edits your books.
What it needs
It needs a connected bank and a connected QuickBooks company. Without both there is nothing to compare, and the page says so.
How it ships
Close Radar is built behind a switch we turn on deliberately, not by default. Today that switch is off. We are validating it against real books first, and this post will be updated when it is on.
Bank access is read-only through Plaid. Any change to your books is an action you take yourself, explicitly. Our security practices are described on the security page.

Bank truth against the books for every client, with intercompany transfers and duplicates surfaced before the client sees the number.
